Huawei Ascend D2 Android Smartphone

Huawei set up a new strategy before the year 2013 arrives. Huawei will certainly release an android smartphone with quad-core processors and uses 5-inch widescreen called Ascend D2. Although not yet confirmed the date, Huawei has confirmed that they will hold a launch event of Ascend D2 in January, early next year.

The 5-inch screen on D2 Ascend will support up to 1080p screen resolution. While the quad-core processor it's not using the Nvidia Tegra 3 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, but it used the K3V2 processor chip designed by Huawei. Some other specifications that have been confirmed for D2 Ascend is a camera with a resolution of 13 mega pixels. While on the battery will be supported by a battery capacity of 3000 mAh. The Android version to be used in this upcoming phone is Jelly Bean android version 4.1 and will get an update to android 4.2.


With the entry of Huawei in the 5-inch smartphone segment of course it will be more brisk competition with the other smartphone manufacturers that already released a 5-inch sized smartphone before, like HTC, ZTE, or Samsung Galaxy Grand which will release early next year.

If last year's market segmentation is still struggling in the 4 inch, 4.3 inch or 4.7 inch smartphone segment, then this year seems likely to be shifted to the size of 4.8 inch and 5 inch. We can see most of the quad-core smartphone are using 4.7 or 4.8 inch screen.
